Two Sites Serve Wichita Suburban Area

The Learning Connection has two locations.  The original location (formerly known as Clearwater Connection) is in Schulte on K-42 highway southwest of the Wichita airport.  The second location is in Mulvane near the intersection of K-15 and Rock Road.

The Learning Connection offers flexible computer-assisted instruction for adult students to complete a high school diploma. Students are encouraged to attend as much as possible on-site and are also allowed to work online. The program serves adult students whose class has already graduated.  The cost for adults to enroll is $20.

For students who do not have the time to complete the requirements for a high school diploma, The Learning Connection also offers a GED Prep program.  The GED Prep program is available on-site only, and the Technology fee for GED Prep students is $20.     

In addition, The Learning Connection offers makeup credits for students who are still in high school, with the permission of their counselors. The Credit Recovery and Advancement Program allows high school students to make up credits during the school year, as well as progress more quickly through their requirements.  Summer School is offered in the month of June, and allows students to attend a summer session to make up credits. The cost for these programs is $150 per half credit class. 

The Learning Connection opened in the fall of 1995 and is sponsored by the Argonia, Clearwater, Conway Springs and Mulvane school districts in cooperation with South Central Kansas Education Service Center, which is located in Clearwater.
